Another Morning

Had an incredible night last night. Got free Presidents Club tickets to the Giants-Nationals game. Total luck...and all because I had a Lincecum shirt on. Now, onto the latest in links.

The first url explains the topic. While his season to date has been less than impressive, his numbers since May 4th have been up to par with the rest of his career. I think he is the hottest chip on the market in a few weeks.

Of course, cant go without a Big Unit story, as he is going for #300 tonight. I, for one, believe there will be another 300 game winner.

Before there was Stephen Strasburg, there was Ben McDonald, an overly hyped pitching prospect being represented by Scott Boras.

And last night was a night of landmarks.
Terry Francona wins his 500th game as manager of the Red Sox, becoming only the third person to do so. He is now only 60 behind the 2nd spot held by Mike Higgans, and 571 wins behind Joe Cronin, who has his number (#4) on the right field facade.

Derek Jeter scored his 1500th run. He is a Hall of Famer, as if that needed to be said.

Tim Lincecum registered his 500th career strikeout. He has a way to go to reach Nolan Ryan, but hey, it could happen.
