HAOC turns back into HAVOC tonight as Edinson Volquez returns from the 15-day DL.
After his breakout 2008 campaign in which he posted a 140 ERA+, and 206 k's in 196 innings, Volquez got off to a shakey start in '09, but is still the NL leader in hits/9 innings with 5.9. Unfortunately, his walk totals are so high he gives up almost as many free passes as he does hits (5.7 BB/9 innings).
His strikeout totals this year are similar to 2008. I guess the thing to look for is increased command and a consistant release point, which is a problem he has had in his worst starts.
I suppose the only player he does not want to get the ball over the plate for tonight is Pujols.
